County-level fire alerts

One digest per day, only when a trigger fires in your county. Free, no marketing, unsubscribe in one click.

This is not an official alert system.

PCSN alerts are supplemental, not a replacement for county/state emergency notifications. Sign up for your county’s official system (CodeRED, Everbridge, Smart911) via /emergency. Alerts may lag or be missed — if you see flames or are told to evacuate, leave immediately.

What sends an alert
  • A new active fire within 25 miles of your county centroid (WFIGS source).
  • Your county sits in a top-decile fire-risk cell for the current week (Firewatch model).
  • A nearby PurpleAir sensor reports AQI > 150 (Unhealthy or worse).
  • An east-wind / foehn event is forecast in your region (Cascade-gap rule, NWS gridpoint).

One digest per day max, sent in the morning Pacific time. We do not send during quiet conditions.
